» Available as lecturer and conference speaker, to discuss medical legal issues and risk management in health care practice (all disciplines), as well as nursing practice under the California Nurse Practice Act. Use of case studies to illustrate legal pitfalls in practice.

» Ms. Phillips has experience as an acute care Nurse Educator in critical care nursing, cardiovascular monitoring and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She was previously adjunct faculty to the Legal Nurse Consultant programs offered at California State University, San Francisco & East Bay campuses, and frequent guest lecturer, Chabot College School of Nursing. She has presented lectures to numerous groups of health care professionals, including The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, Kaiser Permanente and University of California at San Francisco, regarding legal issues that lead to professional malpractice and administrative disciplinary actions, as well as strategies for risk reduction in professional practice.
