Deborah L. Phillips

For more than twenty years Deborah Phillips has offered professional legal services in the field of  health care, representing individual and organizational health care providers. She has served as faculty to legal nurse consultant programs at California State University and as guest lecturer regarding legal aspects of health care practice for local, regional and national organizations including UC San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA), and Chabot College. 

Ms. Phillips' strong pre-law background includes a Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from St. Mary's College, Moraga, and a variety of experiences as registered nurse including critical care clinician, nurse manager and nurse educator. She has been associated with the University of Pittsburgh, UC San Diego and Stanford University medical centers, as well as the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. She received her basic nursing education at University of Pittsburgh-Presbyterian Hospital and held the prestigious CCRN credential from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for 10 years.

Ms. Phillips is highly experienced in all aspects of civil litigation including jury and bench trials, arbitration, mediation and negotiation.
